Key Tips When Changing a Tire
Never rely on your auto mechanic alone. Here are some things to know when changing your tires.
- Firstly, if you’re on the road with a flat tire, turn your hazard lights.
- Ensure your safety by placing large, heavy materials at the backend of your tires. This helps them from moving. Place the jack under your car and lift it slowly.
- Remove your hub cap and find a wrench that perfectly fits the lug nuts. This will make the removal process easier.
- As you place your spare tire, make sure that everything is perfectly aligned.
- After placing your tire and ensuring that it is safely attached, lower the car slowly.
- Place the flat tire in your car. Afterward, visit your mechanic to let them assess, replace, and repair your flat tire.
Changing the Air Filter
Just like home air conditioning, ensuring the quality of your car’s air filter is also critical. Not only will it help keep your car clean, but it will also keep you and your loved ones from getting sick from dirty air.
- Before anything else, make sure that you have the correct type of air filter for the vehicle.
- Park the car in a safe area where the ground is level. Open the car hood and locate the air filter.
- Take out the cover by unscrewing it. Lift it out of the hood.
- With an air hose, clean out the filter from dirt, grime, dust, and other debris.
- Place the new filter in and screw it back on.
